Post-construction cleaning isn't one big clean. It's usually done in phases, because dust keeps settling for days after the last saw stops.
The rough clean comes first, while trades are finishing up: debris, packaging, scraps, and heavy dust are removed so the final work can happen on a clear site.
The final clean happens once construction is done. That's when cabinets and drawers are wiped inside and out, stickers come off windows and fixtures, tracks and vents are cleaned, and floors are vacuumed and mopped.
Many builders add a touch-up clean right before the walkthrough or listing photos to catch the dust that settled since the final clean. Scheduling all three phases up front keeps the project on time.
